Meatball Cookies

yup , you read this right..
Meatball cookies are sort of a family tradition. Everyone (all 6 or 7 aunts) in my Dad's family made them as I was growing up, and oddly every aunt's tasted and looked slightly different. Some aunts added nuts, some not, some liquor, some not, and some made them huge and some made them smaller. So I'm going to leave my rendition of the recipe.. Just keep in mind the way I cook, every year they are slightly different.. And using a mixer no matter how much you want to doesn't usually work too well. It makes the batter too wet. So if you have a need to, like I do, add enough flour to make it stiff? LOL sorry but I do it by eye.

Meatball Cookies

1 c sugar
1 c crisco (or margarine)
8 oz cream cheese
3 eggs
1/2 c milk
1/2 c cocoa
5 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
4 c flour
12 oz chocolate chips
1 c. nuts
1/4 c whiskey
1 Tbs rum
1 Tbs brandy
2 Tbs oil


My original modifications were changing 2 - 3 oz cream cheese to 8 oz, and 8 oz of chips to 12 oz. Now for more of modifications, I leave out the nuts, and the brandy usually, I just throw in alittle extra whiskey or rum.

first cream sugar and butter, then add cream cheese, cream more, then eggs and milk stir till mixed thoroughly. Then add all dry stuff and chips and mix. Then liquor.

mix pieces off ( meatball or walnut size) and roll. use a little oil in your hands to make it smooth.

bake 400 deg 8 - 10 min
frost or not lol

WOW what a month

Wow November 4th was my last post?? Time sure does fly. :P LOL

Since that time i did vote, ThereStock came and went, i Protested in There for a few weeks now, i wrote in wwww.there4all.com, i made a few races in there and hosted some events, gave away at least 8 buggies in there, redecorated my there house, started a few quests, tried to build in second life, ruined some clothes fooling around with textures, joined a new club, met some new friends, and saw some old ones, played with the paint programs some more, signed up for warcraft, deleted my TSO sim, actually stayed off my computer more.. went on holiday, learned how to drive a ATV, learned how to email and IM with my phone, helped my brother and my dad with his computer, took care of a friend, and got into the city a few times...

"ahhhhhh" *long sigh*

really it was not all that much, now that the christmas season is upon us, there a ton more to do. first and formost is list making ;) then cards, lots and lots of cards, then shop till i'm happy, and it's pack and ship. lol

well i'm off to start my first list...
